Lehigh Valley’s Oldest Half Marathon

start of the 2017 half marathon

You do not want to miss our 2018 event. Join us as we celebrate our 4oth year! Originally a marathon, now a half marathon, we have been at this for a long time and cannot wait to celebrate with you. Read more about our race history here.

Registration for the 34th half marathon will open on September 1, 2017. Entry fees through September 30th will be $60 for the half marathon and $35 for the 5K race. Beginning October 1, 2017 entry fees for both events increase by $5. The St. Luke’s Youth Run and Family Fun Walk are always free.

The St. Luke’s Half is a not for profit event. Proceeds benefit youth running, scholarships and grants throughout the region. As of August 2017, Lehigh Valley Road Runners (owners and operators of the race) has provided $75,000 to various schools, organizations and scholarship recipients throughout the Lehigh Valley as means of promoting and encouraging long distance running and a healthy lifestyle. Proceeds from the St. Luke’s Half Marathon and 5K are a huge part of that equation.

NEW FOR 2018:

We are looking for one lucky runner to share their training journey with us via blog posts on our website which we will also share on social media. We want to highlight your personal running story, the reason why you have chosen to run our half marathon, as well as share in your victory on race day. Don’t worry, we will help guide you through the process by posing certain questions along the way. We are asking for one update a month beginning in January and two posts a month in March and April, along with a wrap-up post. In exchange, we will comp your race entry.

If you are interested in being selected as a running ambassador for the St. Luke’s Half Marathon please send an email to us at racedirector@stlukeshalfmarathon.com and let us know why we should choose you.

Deadline for consideration is September 15, 2017.
