St. Luke’s Half Marathon to Celebrate 33rd Anniversary in 2017

St. Luke’s Half Marathon celebrates its 33rd year in 2017, securing its place as one of the region’s oldest and most beloved long-distance road races.

The 13.1-mile race continues to be the largest running race in the Lehigh Valley. Up to 3,400 runners are expected to toe the line next April. All proceeds from the race benefit grants, scholarships and programs put forth by the Lehigh Valley Road Runners. The LVRR has provided over $400,000 to youth fitness and running programs over the past 10 years.

Runners are encouraged to register early. The field limit is set at 4,000 runners for the half and 650 for the 5k. All runners must register online.

The entry fee for the half marathon is $60 between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31, $65 between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, $70 from Jan. 1 through March 15, $100 between March 20-April 9. The fourth tier entry fee for the half marathon raises funds for the St. Luke’s Mobile Health Units. The 5K entry fee is $35 until Oct. 31, $40 between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 and $45 through sellout.
