Region’s Favorite Half Marathon Marks 41 Years in 2019

St. Luke’s Half Marathon celebrates its 41st year as a long distance running event in 2019, securing its place as one of the region’s oldest and most beloved long-distance road races.

The 13.1-mile race continues to be a favorite running race in the Lehigh Valley. Up to 3,000 runners, many of which are return athletes, are expected to toe the line next April. All proceeds from the race benefit grants, scholarships and programs put forth by the Lehigh Valley Road Runners. The LVRR has provided over $400,000 to youth fitness and running programs over the past 10 years.

Registration will open on September 1, 2018. For the first seven days of registration entries fees will be $55 for the half marathon and $30 for the 5k race. Runners are encouraged to register early. All runners must register online.

The entry fee for the half marathon is $60 between Sept. 8 and Sept. 30, $65 between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, $70 from Jan. 1 through March 22, $100 between March 23-April 5. The fourth tier entry fee for the half marathon raises funds for the St. Luke’s Mobile Health Units. The 5K entry fee is $35 until Sept. 30, $40 between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 and $45 through March 22.
