Last year, event organizers of the St. Luke’s Half Marathon and 5K introduced a unique contest in which runners could win cash for referring their friends and family to run the half marathon or 5K. The Referral Contest will take place, again, in 2016 where race participants can seek to earn a top spot and win cash prizes for referring the most runners to the St. Luke’s Half Marathon and 5K races.
When you sign up to run one of our races (either the 5K or half marathon) you will receive a unique referral link in your confirmation email. Simply provide this link to your family and friends and ask them to register for the race. When they sign up to run you will receive a referral credit. The three participants with the most referral credits will receive the following cash prizes:
1st place – $150
2nd place – $75
3rd place – $50
